iLog : reusable temperature and/or humidity data logger

The iLog from Cryopak is surely one of the highest performing in its category and has been designed with the user in mind. It offers many benefits, enabling the user to make important decisions simply and quickly.

The iLog is a reusable temperature and/or humidity data logger which requires the free Console Pro software to program it and read its data (see bottom of the page or in the Downloadable Software section).

Features of the iLog, temperature humidity data logger

The iLog is available with several configuration versions, with internal humidity sensors and external temperature probes. It delivers +/- 0.35°C accuracy over a wide range of temperatures from -100°C to +150°C, depending on the model.

Its compact size enables it to be inserted into any type of container : it measures 8 cm diameter, 2 cm high and weighs only 70 grams (including battery). The battery life is between one and two years, depending on how it is used, and the battery can be replaced by the user.

The iLog has a 32K memory capacity, i.e. 32064 readings (32K for a single sensor or 16K per sensor for two probes). The measurement frequency is between 5 seconds and 10 days, depending on the duration of the recording defined during programming.

The iLog temperature and/or humidity data logger has an LCD screen which operates between -20°C and +70°C. Outside this temperature range, the data logger continues to log data.
2 alarm levels per sensor are possible (1 high alarm and 1 low alarm) and the user can configure up to 2 alarms for temperature and 2 alarms for humidity, for example.
If the level is exceeded, a visual alarm is activated on the iLog and it is also possible to configure an audible alarm, as an optional extra.

For the healthcare sector, we calibrate the loggers with 3-point NIST calibration upon request. The calibration is valid for the temperature probes but also for humidity probes. The calibration certificate is enclosed in paper format with the delivery of the logger and can also be sent by email in PDF format. The iLog is therefore compliant with the FDA regulation 21 CFR Part 11 relating to electronic validation, signatures and records.

Use of the iLog, temperature humidity data logger

The user programs the iLog themselves (password, alarms, alarm trigger mode, recording time after the logger is started or start date, transportation duration, measurement frequency) by downloading the free Console Pro software (see bottom of the page or in the Downloadable Software section).

To start the logger, a start date must either be defined during programming, or the magnetic key ring must be used to activate it. The “Active” LED will then light up.
The end of the recording is also defined during programming, either by a duration programmed before it stops, or after a certain number of predefined readings, or when all possible readings have been performed. The “Active” LED then switches off.
If the alarm LED lights up, this means that one or several alarms have been triggered during recording. The multifunctional LCD screen then provides several levels of information :

  • The time remaining before the programmed start
  • The highest temperature, the lowest temperature and the average temperature recorded
  • Any alarms triggered (high and/or low)
  • The time spent outside alarm ranges
  • Battery level
  • The end of the programmed recording

In order to retrieve data from the iLog, connect the logger to a computer using the USB interface and open the Console Pro software. Save the temperature and/or humidity report in PDF, CSV or TXT formats, for example.
