iMini : reusable temperature and/or humidity data logger
The iMini from Cryopak is a data logger delivering advanced functionality and up-to-date software to improve temperature and/or humidity control for temperature-sensitive products.
The iMini exists in a single-use version but primarily as reusable versions.
Features of the iMini, reusable temperature humidity data logger
The iMini has internal and/or external sensors, capable of measuring temperatures between -40°C and +80°C, and is one of the most reliable on the market with +/- 0.5°C accuracy between -40°C and -10°C, and +/- 0.3°C from -10°C to +80°C.
Its compact size enables it to be inserted into any type of container : it measures 9 x 6 cm and weighs only 70 grams (including battery). The battery life is between one and two years, depending on how it is used, and the battery can be replaced by the user.
The iMini temperature probe has 5 memory options from 8K to 128K. Its measurement frequency ranges from 5 seconds to 17 hours, depending on the duration of the recording defined during programming (over 60 days).
The iMini temperature humidity data logger has an LCD screen which operates between -20°C and +70°C. Outside this temperature range, the data logger continues to log data. 4 alarm levels with LED indicator are possible for each internal and/or external probe (2 high alarms and 2 low alarms). It is also possible to deactivate the alarms and to programme the probe in record-only mode.
For the healthcare sector, we calibrate the loggers with 3-point NIST calibration. The calibration certificate is enclosed in paper format with the delivery of the logger and can also be sent by email in PDF format. The iMini is therefore compliant with the FDA regulation 21 CFR Part 11 relating to electronic validation, signatures and records.
Calculation of the MKT (mean kinetic temperature) can be viewed to analyse the effect of temperature variations on temperature-sensitive products. The default setting (83,144kJ/mol) can be customised.
Use of the iMini, reusable temperature humidity data logger
The user can program the iMini data logger themselves (password, alarms, alarm trigger mode, recording time after the logger is started or start date, transportation duration, measurement frequency) by downloading the free Console Plus software (see bottom of the page or in the Downloadable Software section).
To start the logger, press on the START button for a few seconds until the STOP message disappears. At the end of the recording, you simply press on the STOP button for a few seconds to stop it. If one or several blue LEDs is flashing, this means that the low alarms have been triggered during transportation. If the red LEDs are flashing, this means that the high alarm ranges have been exceeded. The multifunctional LCD screen then provides several levels of information :
- The highest temperature, the lowest temperature and the average temperature recorded
- Any alarms triggered (high and/or low)
- The time spent outside alarm ranges
- An icon if the battery is depleted
In order to retrieve data from the iMini, connect the logger to a computer using a USB/mini USB cable and open the Console Plus software. Save the temperature report in the default .CVT (Console Plus file) format and easily convert it to a PDF, CSV or TXT file in order to send it by email.
