iMini LCD : single use LCD temperature data logger
The iMini LCD is a single-use temperature logger with a large LCD screen enabling the recorded temperature to be easily viewed in real time. It can be directly inserted into the computer via the USB port and requires the free software Console Plus to retrieve the data (see bottom of page or in the Downloadable Software section).
Features of the iMini LCD, disposable temperature data logger
The iMini LCD has an internal sensor capable of measuring temperatures between -40°C and +80°C, and is one of the most reliable on the market with +/- 0.5°C accuracy between -40°C and -10°C and +/- 0.3°C between -10°C and +80°C.
The iMini LCD temperature data logger has an LCD screen which operates between -20°C and +70°C. Outside this temperature range, the data logger continues to log data. Its compact size enables it to be inserted into any type of container : it measures 8 x 5 cm and weighs only 23 grams. It is sealed inside a waterproof plastic pouch to protect its electronic components from any humidity during transportation. The battery life is one year.
It has a memory capacity of nearly 8K and can take 7808 temperature readings. Its measurement frequency ranges from 5 seconds to 17 hours, depending on the duration of the recording defined during programming (over 60 days). 4 alarm levels can be defined with 2 high alarms and 2 low alarms, which are triggered either when the first out-of-range measurement is taken, or after several alarms have been triggered, whether consecutive or not. It is also possible to deactivate the alarms and to program the data logger in record-only mode.
Finally, the iMini LCD has the capacity to log temperatures for over 60 days, making it a logger suitable for all modes of transport.
For the healthcare sector, we calibrate the loggers with 3-point NIST calibration. The calibration certificate is enclosed in paper format with the delivery of the logger and can also be sent by email in PDF format. The iMini LCD is therefore compliant with the FDA regulation 21 CFR Part 11 relating to electronic validation, signatures and records.
The Console Plus software used with iMini LCD temperature data logger enables information to be collected on the MKT (mean kinetic temperature) in order to analyse the effect of temperature variations on temperature-sensitive products. The default setting (83,144kJ/mol) can be customised.
Use of the iMini LCD, single use device
The iMini LCD is delivered pre-programmed according to your needs. When the logger is purchased, you specify to us the parameters you wish us to program, using a programming form (alarms, alarm trigger mode, logging time after the logger is started or start date, transportation duration, measurement frequency, etc). If you prefer, you can also program the iMini LCD thanks to the Console Plus software but the plastic sleeve should be sealed by yourself.
When the iMini LCD data logger is not operating, the LCD screen indicates STOP. To start the logger, press on the START button for a few seconds until the STOP message disappears. At the end of the recording, you simply press on the STOP button for a few seconds to stop it. The multifunctional LCD screen then provides several levels of information :
- The highest and lowest temperature as well as the average temperature recorded
- Any alarms triggered (high and/or low)
- The time spent outside alarm ranges
To retrieve the data from the iMini LCD, connect the logger directly to your computer via the USB port and open the Console Plus software (see bottom of the page or the Downloadable Software section). Save the temperature report in the default .CVT (Console Plus file) format and easily convert it to a PDF, CSV or TXT file in order to send it by email.
